Phew!! Had a really busy day at 'belles on bikes' on Sunday. Arrived just after 8.30am to set up and didn't leave until gone 3.00pm.
We (thats Kevin and I) arrived before any of the participants. Joseph from Suffolk Cycle kindly showed us where we could set up. As we put up the gazebo and got out the massage table and information the cyclists started to arrive. Everyone was in good humour and looking forwards to their ride on what was a beautifully sunny day.
The bikes and participants came in all shapes and sizes, from lycra clad ladies with sleek racing bikes to children on trailer bikes behind their mums. The one thing they all had in common was a smile an an air of excitement.
Before the start of the ride there was the amazing sight and sound of a trumpet fanfare from the battlements of Framlingham Castle. I then had time for a cup of coffee before what turned out to be over 4 hours of back to back massaging.
Kevin carried out front of house duties, taking names and details and I carried out 17 free mini massages on organisers and participants. Everyone appeared to enjoy their massage and I hope that they all felt the benefit.
By the time we left we were both absolutely ravenous. We decided that we deserved a treat, so called at the Farm Cafe at Marelesford for a very large (and very welcome) jam and cream scone!
